Heritage Day

Samantha's school for the 5th grade has a Heritage Day where the kids make a scrapbook about their family and the culminating event is the children and parents get together for a picnic. The families each bring in a dish that represents their family. It was funny some made stoffers lasagna, some actually made recipes that have been handed down for generations. Amanda made her famous chicken and dumplings, yum yum. I thought about asking our homeschool group if they were interested in having one too. It was really neat looking at all the info about the different families.
